Wild Teasel

This butterfly is resting on a Russian Thistle. The prickly appearance of the thistle and the softness of the butterfly complement each other. I used rayon threads in the flower to give the thistle a shimmer. I also used metallic threads in the flower and in the background of the art to reflect in the light.
