Navajo Nation

This elder, Yazhi ( “little” in Navajo) or Gladys,

lives in a hogan in the Navajo Nation without

water.  Water is delivered and put into the

containers outside of her home monthly.

Her daughter does not live with her, but

comes to her hogan everyday.  This is the life

of the elders in the Navajo Nation.
